Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM & Friday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Southern Pain & Spine is expanding our clinical team and seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support patients receiving advanced interventional pain care. Our board-certified providers create individualized treatment plans and utilize minimally invasive procedures to help patients reduce pain and improve function.

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care while supporting clinical and procedural workflows. This position is responsible for patient assessment, care planning, monitoring, documentation, and communication with the healthcare team. Depending on assignment, the RN may work in surgical preparation, procedural, or recovery areas.
Responsibilities
- Gather comprehensive patient histories and perform nursing assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, levels of consciousness, and changes in patient condition.
- Recognize and communicate abnormal findings or diagnostic information to the appropriate clinical team members.
- Develop and update individualized care plans and evaluate patient responses.
- Provide patient and family education and maintain clear communication throughout the care process.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, effective care.
- When assigned to procedures, prepare the surgical area, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist physicians during surgical and interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and following procedures.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and clinical protocols.
- Complete accurate EHR documentation of care, interventions, and patient outcomes.
- Operate C-Arm/fluoroscopic equipment under surgeon direction when applicable.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain current clinical knowledge.
Required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active RN license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Knowledge of professional nursing standards and applicable state Nurse Practice Act
- Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
- BSN
- 1+ year of OR and/or PACU experience
- CPAN certification
- Surgical or procedural nursing experience
- C-Arm/fluoroscopy experience
- Knowledge of appropriate scrub procedures
