Join Micron as a Senior Fire Protection Systems Engineer and work on challenging projects driving innovation in fire protection engineering.
Your role will be pivotal in managing and accomplishing fire protection engineering projects on-site. You will ensure flawless construction quality, strict consistency to schedules, uncompromising safety standards, effective cost control, and successful implementation of acceptance procedures.
## Responsibilities
- Manage on-site construction based on fire protection drawings and technical specifications such as automatic sprinklers, fire alarms, fire compartmentation, and smoke exhaust systems.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractor work quality and progress, ensuring compliance with builds and regulatory acceptance standards.
- Plan, complete, and track construction schedules, regularly reporting progress and cost performance.
- Coordinate interfaces among civil, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades, resolving conflicts and schedule disruptions.
- Handle fire protection submissions, functional tests, coordinated tests, and acceptance procedures, compiling related documentation.
## Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in fire protection or MEP site management, including a minimum of 2 completed fire acceptance projects.
- Familiarity with fire protection submissions, functional and coordinated testing, and acceptance processes, along with knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Ability to read system diagrams, point layouts, and circuit diagrams, with skills in material approval and test record compilation.
- Proficient in construction scheduling and cost management.
- Strong cross-trade coordination and problem-solving skills on-site.
- Experience in maintaining fire equipment, submitting inspections, certification, and re-inspection.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair emergency fire equipment failures.
- Capable of planning and performing non-standard fire safety equipment inspections.

\- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools, data analytics, and digital technologies to enhance project planning, engineering execution, risk management, and operational efficiency.
