Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The Specialty Care HIT Marketing & Enablement Director is responsible for providing Health Information Technology (HIT) strategy, execution ownership, and technical accuracy across the U.S. Specialty Care portfolio.
This role serves as the embedded HIT subject matter expert within Specialty Care brand, access, and patient solution teams, ensuring that all initiatives that reference or rely on EHR or HIT-related AI workflows are feasible, compliant, deployable, and grounded in real‑world health system operations.
The Specialty Care HIT Marketing & Enablement Director operates as an internal, non‑customer‑facing role and works in close partnership with Brand Marketing, Access, Patient Solutions, Specialty Care HIT Directors, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and vetted HIT agencies of record.
This position reports to the Specialty Care HIT Team Lead and supports all Specialty Care brands, inclusive of KAM‑aligned and non‑KAM‑aligned franchises.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portfolio HIT Strategy Ownership
- Serve as the central HIT strategy owner for brand, access, and patient solution initiatives not covered by existing KAM‑aligned HIT Director responsibilities.
- Bring real‑world EHR and workflow feasibility insights to brand teams early in planning to inform compliant, executable strategies.
- Own HIT accuracy, cohesion, and consistency across all resources that reference or have implications related to EHR systems or workflows.
- Support HIT strategy for the full brand lifecycle, from pre‑launch planning through post‑launch optimization and LOE, to ensure execution quality.
- Governance, RC Readiness & Compliance
- Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and the HIT Center of Excellence to ensure RC‑ready, compliant HIT content.
- Support RC submission processes for assigned initiatives and proactively mitigate downstream rework, escalations, and launch delays.
- Operate with a clear separation from EHR build, testing, configuration, or implementation activities, maintaining Pfizer’s compliance and governance standards.
- Cross‑Functional Enablement
- Enable consistent, scalable HIT execution across Specialty Care brands by preserving institutional EHR knowledge rather than re‑learning lessons brand by brand.
- Partner with Specialty Care HIT Directors to align internal brand execution with broader HIT strategies and customer insights.
- Contribute to internal education and enablement efforts to strengthen brand and field confidence in HIT‑enabled resources.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required (BS/BA); advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in digital health, HIT strategy, healthcare IT, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of EHR systems and health system workflows as they relate to the patient journey.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
- Proven experience navigating regulatory, legal, and compliance‑driven workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Pfizer experience as a HIT Solutions Account Director or HIT Marketer.
- Experience working with or within health systems, EHR vendors, digital health organizations, or HIT‑focused agencies.
- Hands-on experience with major EHR platforms and advanced digital health capabilities (e.g., data analytics, AI-enabled tools).
- Experience creating HIT resources, with the HIT COE process, and with the GCMA/RC process
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives across brands.
- Familiarity with portfolio‑level marketing strategy and launch execution across multiple franchises.
- Disease state expertise across the Specialty Care portfolio.
