Senior Vice President – Venue Operations
Type: In-Office, Full-Time
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Our client is a sports and entertainment organization focused on creating and operating one of Canada’s premier sports and entertainment destinations. The organization is committed to world-class venue operations, exceptional guest experiences, and operational excellence across its events and facilities. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape venue and event operations across concerts, sporting events, conventions, exhibitions, and community events.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Vice President – Venue Operations, you will lead venue and facility operations across the organization, ensuring safe, efficient, and exceptional experiences while driving operational performance and long-term facility development.
Operational Leadership
• Lead all venue and event operations across the organization’s facilities and entertainment properties.
• Establish operational standards, policies, and best practices while supporting operational readiness and event execution excellence.
• Oversee staffing plans, scheduling, and operational coordination.
Guest Experience
• Ensure exceptional guest, fan, sponsor, and partner experiences across events and facilities.
• Lead customer service initiatives and service quality standards.
• Address operational challenges and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Facility Management
• Support facility maintenance, capital improvements, and modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate with facilities, security, and safety teams to ensure operational compliance.
• Monitor operational budgets and cost management initiatives.
Event Execution
• Oversee operational planning for concerts, sporting events, conventions, and community events.
• Collaborate with production, security, food & beverage, and guest services teams.
• Ensure operational excellence before, during, and after events.
Strategic & Business Performance
• Work closely with executive leadership, event production, revenue teams, and operational staff to establish standards and improve efficiencies.
• Support long-term facility development initiatives and strategic priorities.
• Drive performance across revenue and profitability, guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, team performance, event execution, and strategic initiative implementation.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or venue operations.
• Experience working in fast-paced live event environments.
Key Competencies
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage teams and drive operational performance.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
