CERTEX USA is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Technician/Driver to join our team in Houston, Texas.  

Position Overview

 The Warehouse Technician/Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering materials, equipment, and customer orders while also supporting warehouse operations, including pulling, packing, shipping, loading, and unloading. This position requires safe operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment while following all company and applicable DOT safety requirements. 

Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport and deliver materials, equipment, and customer orders. 
• Load, unload, and securely store materials and equipment for transport. 
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while following established routes and schedules. 
• Maintain required delivery, shipping, and cargo documentation. 
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety. 
• Communicate with Branch Management regarding delivery status, special instructions, delays, or other issues. 
• Pull, stage, pack, and prepare orders for shipment and delivery. 
• Ship completed orders using applicable shipping platforms. 
• Restock inventory, bins, and pick locations as directed. 
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including counting scales and motorized equipment. 
• Complete inventory transactions related to picking, staging, shipping, and transferring materials. 
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be 18 years of age or older. 
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
• Forklift certification highly preferred. 
• Previous industrial or warehouse experience preferred. 
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and various types of motorized equipment. 
• Strong math skills, including decimal-to-fraction conversions. 
• Strong reading, communication, and customer service skills. 
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements

• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check

• Be able to provide valid documentation to provide proof of citizenship in accordance with I-9 document

• Display a professional and courteous attitude 

• Report to work at the designated start time

• Willing to travel to various work sites or training as required

• Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary

• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company’s “Stop Work” policy

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designation operations and production areas as directed

• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and Supervisor with other duties 

as required

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 

• Six months of experience in warehouse operations or manufacturing preferred

• Good knowledge of local roads and traffic laws

Working Conditions, Hours, Travel

• This is a full-time position with standard work hours of Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. 
• This position operates in both warehouse and office environments. 
• Regular local and regional travel by vehicle to and from customer and business locations within the designated territory is required. 
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. 
• Warehouse work may involve exposure to elevated noise levels and active material-handling operations. 
• The employee must be able to travel as required to support business and customer needs.
