Flight Test Analyst

Mobius is seeking a Flight Test Analyst. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as an Advisory and Assistance Services contractor providing programmatic, technical, analytical and execution support to MDA’s Director of Flight Test (DTF). DTF has overall responsibility for pre-mission activities, element integration, mission management and execution of all MDA flight tests. The position requires a quick learner who can support and lead mission teams during planning and execution of flight tests. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Duties of a Flight Test Analyst may include: 

• Develop and maintain mission documentation (e.g. checklists, test control structures, test ops schedules)
• Develop mission checklists and provide real-time updates to various stakeholders and mission assets
• Support all phases of test planning, training, and execution of Tier 1/2/3 test environments in accordance with the current Flight Test Concept of Operations (CONOPS). 
• Perform analysis / programmatic review of test pre- and post-events/activities, provide lessons learned inputs and support panel reviews.
• Produce test procedures detailing time-critical events supporting the Mission Countdown Events (CDE).
• Update mission documentation based on calendar adjustments 
• Support test integration and planning meetings, Phase Reviews, and data archival meetings, as directed.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop and maintain briefing charts for the weekly or bi-weekly Mission Execution Team Working Groups (METWG) meetings
• Provide direct on-console support to key Mission Execution Team (MET) leadership, including the Mission (MTD), Associate Operations (AOTD), and Sensors (SNTD) Test Directors during mission execution.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience; 15 years or more of relevant experience may be substituted for the MA/MS degree requirement
• Able to leverage demonstrated DoW testing experience to make strategic recommendations on how MDA can better interface with other organizations to leverage their testing capabilities to support MDA test and assessment activities 
• Able to identify gaps with integration activities with test ranges / other stakeholders and develop technical recommendations/solutions to enable successful test execution
• Capable of delivering innovative solutions to unique problems to quickly plan and execute tests in unique, novel environments and scenarios.
• Capable of leading and executing extensive test engineering support on systems, system elements, interfaces, components, devices and/or processes for complex weapon systems programs during developmental and operational test events, including flight, hardware-in-the-loop, and operational environments.
• Able to apply in-depth technical and theoretical DoD knowledge of developmental and operational testing; the verification and validation activities of the engineering “V”; and/or broad knowledge of the MDS, components, and system-level topics.
• Capable of analyzing and integrating complex data, drawing reasonable and logical system-level conclusions, and developing courses of action for senior leadership and test decision forums.
• Capable of establishing and optimizing priorities to support planning and readiness activities of MDS test events.
• Capable of applying process improvement and strategic planning skills
• Contributes to special studies to identify strategic investments or priorities for the MDA Test Program that enable future testing.
• Routinely be expected to solve significant, controversial technical matters.
• Capable of working independently or leading teams to solve test planning, integration, execution, and analysis/engineering problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist in solving complex problems involving test planning, integration, execution, and analysis
• Ability to utilize, adapt, and develop analytic techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.
• Must be able to travel (~20%) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations

Education

• Master of Arts / Master of Science in a field pertinent to the position being filled

Clearance 

• Active Secret or higher clearance
