Customer Banking Specialists - Melbourne North East Area - Part Time
Please note that you are applying for a general expression of interest for a range of part-time (20–30 hours per week) and full-time opportunities across our East Melbourne Branch Network.
If you are shortlisted for the interview stage, you will be asked to attend a Group Interview Day on October 21st 2026 at 9am-11:30am in the Eastern Suburbs area.
Our Melbourne East area covers the following branches:
- Balwyn, Brunswick, Bundoora, Camberwell, Coburg, Eltham, Epping, Greensborough, Hawthorn, Heidelberg, Kew, Northcote, Northland Centre, Plenty Valley, Preston, Reservoir, Thomastown

As a Customer Banking Specialist, you will:
- Have in-depth conversations with every customer about how we can support their overall banking needs, including Home Loans, Business Banking and Financial Advice.
- Support customers with enquiries, account maintenance and applications for credit products.
- Provide options for customers through education and demonstration of our in-branch technology and digital banking solutions.
- Problem solve and provide effective solutions whilst championing our processes, procedures and strong risk culture.
We're interested in hearing from people who have
- Proven experience delivering exceptional customer service, ideally within a similar role across Financial Services, Retail or Hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate financial concepts in a clear and simple way.
- The ability to ask the right questions, identify solutions, act with integrity and place the customer at the centre of everything they do.
- The ability to thrive in a busy, commercial and customer-focused environment whilst seeing the bigger picture for customers and providing holistic solutions.
- A genuine interest in building a career with CommBank and improving the financial wellbeing of our customers.
- Language skills in Mandarin/Cantonese will be highly regarded, but not essential.
