Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Architectural Ownership: Lead the end-to-end design of GE GridOS DERMS solutions, ensuring enterprise architecture aligns with specific client requirements.
• Technical Strategy: Oversee custom development, including APIs, microservices, and integrations, ensuring all deliverables meet performance standards.
• Client Advisory: Serve as the primary technical interface, translating business goals and regulatory needs into clear technical requirements.
• Grid Modeling: Manage and validate complex CIM distribution network models and powerflow analysis to support DER planning scenarios.
• Integration Leadership: Drive the full-stack development lifecycle, from system configuration and integration to site acceptance testing.
• Project Stewardship: Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies while reporting project outcomes to stakeholders.
• Knowledge Transfer: Develop training modules and lead workshops to enable utility end-users on GridOS functionality.
• Sales Enablement: Support presales activities, including SOW development and technical demonstrations for upsell opportunities.
• Practice Development: Collaborate with the global team to establish delivery standards and innovate our consulting methodologies.

Required Qualifications (Quantitative)

• Industry Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software delivery, architecture, or technical consulting within the power and utility sector.
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar program, with a focus on power systems or relevant experience.
• Development Proficiency: 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development (Java/Python) and managing complex backend/database integrations.
• Project Delivery: Demonstrated history of leading at least 3 full-cycle enterprise software implementations or complex system integrations for utility clients.
• Domain Expertise: 3+ years of experience working directly with power system analysis tools (e.g., OpenDSS, CYME, Synergi) or utility OT platforms (SCADA, ADMS, OMS).
• Cloud Operations: 2+ years of documented experience deploying and managing enterprise-grade applications within AWS or Azure cloud environments.

Desired Qualifications

• Active Cloud Certification (AWS/Azure).
• Practical experience in DevSecOps workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Cybersecurity standards for critical infrastructure.
• Advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in regulatory compliance for distribution utilities.
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional technical teams.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with automated CI/CD pipeline management.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or consultants.

Additional Information

 

 

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $119,600.00 and $179,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
