TITLE: Lift Operator
LOCATION: Snowbird Resort
STATUS: Seasonal, Full-Time, Hourly
SCHEDULE: Variable
- Anticipated start date: Late November
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Shifts generally between 6:50 am and 5:30 pm
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
SUMMARY
Join Snowbird's Tram, Lift & Gate (TLG) Operations team and play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and exceptional mountain experience for our guests. As a Lift Operator, you will monitor lift access, assist guests, and support daily mountain operations.

With all supervisors and the director having more than 10 years of service, you'll be joining an established, experienced team known for collaboration, consistency, and operational excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Operate chairlifts safely and efficiently.
- Maintain safe, hazard-free loading and unloading areas.
- Complete required daily logs and operational checks.
- Provide outstanding guest service and answer guest questions.
- Verify lift tickets and passes before loading guests onto lifts and the tram.
- Support tram, gate, and dig crew operations as needed.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure safe and seamless mountain operations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding ability required.
- Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
- Positive attitude and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and perform basic math functions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work outdoors in variable winter weather conditions.
- Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
- Work efficiently under pressure with frequent guest interaction.
- May be required to stay overnight during road closures or severe weather events.
