Description
Position Summary
Responsible for fluid power designs, systems, and components; will have accountability for understanding customer needs and resolving issues relating to design problems.
Essential Functions
- Review customer specifications and prepare quotes, working with sales consultants.
- Provide fluid power designs for existing and new equipment.
- Maintain all Quote logs, files, and communications.
- Review and implement cost savings ideas as they relate to fluid power designs.
- Oversee third-party quoting efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, and on time.
- Maintain Key Operating Statistics and prepare reports for management.
Position Qualifications- Skills and Abilities
Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas:

- Skills to design and conduct systematic, objective, and critical investigations.
- Capacity to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to look beyond standard solutions.
- Possess the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
- Effective customer service skills to include listening, communication, and writing abilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university) in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or science related field of study.
Experience:
- Three years’ experience with industrial equipment; fluid power system design a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite software required, AutoCAD a plus.
- Automation background a plus.
Skills taught after hire as needed:
- Product Training, Technical Seminars Training, Computer System Training, ISO Training, Safety Training
Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, customer service skills
