The Opportunity

Are you a compassionate, approachable person who is patient, empathetic and ready to help people through challenging circumstances? This role is based at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope, where you’ll support vulnerable individuals with important registry and identification services.

As a Navigation Centre Registry Agent, you’ll help people access essential services, including applying for identification and Alberta Health Care cards. You’ll explain processes clearly, listen without judgement and provide calm, respectful support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds, following policies and procedures, protecting confidential information, and finding practical solutions while maintaining patience and compassion.

  • You’re comfortable learning and following policies and procedures, completing documentation accurately, and handling personal information confidentially.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Report to the Manager of Member and Travel Services.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful and client-centred service to vulnerable individuals at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope, helping them understand and access relevant registry services.
  • Assist clients with identification applications and other registry transactions, ensuring information is complete, accurate, confidential and processed in a timely manner.
  • Support clients with Alberta Health Care applications by explaining requirements, reviewing information for completeness and helping them navigate the application process.
  • Create a welcoming and psychologically safe service experience by listening with empathy, maintaining professional boundaries, and connecting clients with appropriate supports or resources when needed.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You’re at least 18 years old with a high school diploma and have an updated Police Information Check (PIC). You’ve got strong communication skills, and sales or customer service experience. Along with a commitment to learning.
  • Your awesome attitude and genuine desire to help people is what matters most in this job. If have the below certifications, great! If not – don’t worry we will train you
    • General registry skills certification (Basic)
    • Commissioner for Oaths (Registry-related business only)    
    • Marriage License Commissioner
    • AHW certification
    • Corporate Registry certification
