Sparky Decision Sciences drives Walmart’s strategy through data by building trusted enterprise assets and applying scientific rigor. The team enables decision-makers to understand key business drivers and identify opportunities for growth. Members collaborate across functions to translate complex data into actionable insights using advanced analytic techniques and visualization tools. They ensure data quality and relevance while supporting business priorities with clear communication and storytelling. The team fosters continuous improvement, leveraging exploratory data analysis and root cause analysis to solve challenges and guide strategic decisions that advance Walmart’s mission and deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
What you'll do:

• Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains to support analytics initiatives.
• Perform data quality assessments and lead cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable data projects aligned with strategic goals.
• Develop and apply advanced exploratory data analysis and statistical techniques to uncover insights.
• Create clear, impactful data visualizations and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver data-driven recommendations that address business challenges.
• Mentor junior analysts on analytical methods, storytelling, and data quality best practices.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in data analysis, including exploratory data analysis and root cause analysis to identify trends and business insights.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
• Experience with data quality management, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
• Skilled in data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence decision-making and present insights clearly.
• Knowledge of data governance, storage, and scalability principles within enterprise environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
