Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and managing performance of all employees within department.
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions, and resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
- Owns team production plan schedule and efficiency and is accountable for team’s results.
- Ensures operation of equipment by ensuring proper operating procedures are followed by employees and contractors.
- Provides manufacturing information by analyzing and compiling production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Familiar with Plant Apps & Historian. ERP system experience preferred.
- Preferred understanding of food safety and/or consumer packaged goods industry
