Description
Your Wellness Care Medical Group is seeking a part-time 1099 (independent contractor) APN to work 4 – 20 hours per week along with a potential for some additional fill-in work. Currently utilizing a hybrid model of a combination tele-health (80% of work time) and in-person (20%) sessions to serve a co-occurring population.
The services to be provided by the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, (with prescriptive authority), are designed to manage both complex psychiatric and common medical problems. Using a collaborative practice agreement developed and approved by the Medical Director, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess and diagnose illness states and initiate psychotropic medication (as needed) and other therapeutic interventions based on a treatment plan developed in collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Requirements include:
- R.N. license.
- N.J. State Certification for Psychiatric Practice with Prescriptive Authority.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing; prior clinical experience in an adult setting or adult and child setting.
- State and Federal CDS Registrations.
- ANCC certification.
Additionally, understanding of various treatment theories and modalities which are considered as standard or usual in the treatment of a psychiatric population and their families. Basic computer/keyboarding skills, including familiarity with word processing programs, (MS Word preferred) for report writing, forms, records, letters, etc., ability to learn and utilize electronic client record-keeping system. Familiarity with electronic prescribing is highly recommended.
