About the Role:
The primary role of the Executive Oncology Training Manager (OTM) is to work closely with the Head of Oncology Training and Development and the Training Team to identify key initiatives via needs assessment and other means that will drive measurable impact on Commercial goals for the field role they oversee as well as any additional Training lead roles they are assigned.
This role will be responsible for the development, guidance, and/or execution of sustainment and new hire training on multiple topics including, but not limited to product, patient journey, disease state, sales skills. Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to successfully build and implement curricula. Utilization of various training channels and modalities is expected (pod casts, workshops, slide decks, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Ownership of the vision and execution of assigned core departmental duties
Lead and support training projects that have a national impact and involve multiple cross-functional partners.
Proactively identify projects needed to support the goals of the Training department and Commercial team.
Develop and implement training plans for the US Sales team role that they lead
Participate in all Training team SOPs
Collaborate with relevant internal teams to address training needs in alignment with department and company goals.
Lead and develop assigned Regional Trainers. This includes but is not limited to leading ongoing calls to gather feedback on needs, help them develop their Regions message training plans, train them to execute pull through trainings, evaluate their effectiveness and ultimately coach them up to their fullest potential.
Work with identified sales reps in the field. Minimum of 1x per quarter. Provide high quality, thoughtful feedback to the rep and manager with recommendations for any ongoing coaching plan that influences behavior change.
Deliver feedback to sales leadership and assessment scores for new hires in coordination with the Head of Training.
Work closely and collaboratively with the US Oncology Training Team. Communicate clearly, honestly, and with kindness. Show up to learn and share not to be right. Ask for help when you need it and be the first to volunteer to help out others on the Team. Do what you say you will do.
Experience:
4-6+ years of experience in oncology/oncology diagnostics, pharmaceutical, hospital-surgical sales, or key account management, including 2+ years of oncology training experience; candidates with at least 4 years of oncology experience and a minimum of 1 year of successful tenure at Guardant Health may be considered in lieu of the training experience requirement
Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated experience in creating training plans and content utilizing various modalities tailored to audience.
Experience in tracking training effectiveness.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous and often complex projects with resources needed from across various cross-functional teams and vendors.
Training content development and delivery experience within the oncology biotechnology, diagnostics or pharmaceutical industry.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following computer software programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word
Ability to learn and implement AI
Outstanding ability to coach, inspire, and give clear feedback.
Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic and with a sense of urgency to meet timelines.
Self-directed, intrinsically motivated, flexible to changes in an ever-changing dynamic environment.

Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
