The role will assist Head of Equity in (i) maintaining a good and efficient equity research mechanism and reporting system (ii) achieving fund performance target by stock selection (iii) providing high quality support and services to relevant stake holders, and (iv) other Equity investment related tasks..
JOB SUMMARY Reporting to Head of Equity and assisting Head of Equity in (i) maintaining a good and efficient equity research mechanism and reporting system (ii) achieving fund performance target by stock selection (iii) providing high quality support and services to relevant stakeholders, and (iv) other Equity investment related tasks. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -Develop and maintain in-depth research on business model of assigned individual companies, including constructing and maintaining company financial models, as well as visiting companies. -Provide in-depth research on the assigned industries/sectors -Timely update the investment team on company and sector developments, major market and corporate events. -Actively identify, research and evaluate new investment opportunities for possible selection to the portfolio. -Develop relationships with corporates, brokers and market players to explore, sourcing and identifying equity investment opportunities. -Assist Head of Equity in monitoring portfolios to ensure they are adhering to their stated investment strategy and process. -Prepare fund and/or portfolio reports. -Assist Head of Equity in preparing fund reports for clients. -Additional responsibilities relating to portfolio management and client support as required. -Other duties, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -University degree in finance/ economics/ commerce or equivalent. -Have a fund management practitioner license issued by SSC. -CFA certificate/ MBA degree is preferred. -Over 5 years of experience working in the capital markets industry, including investment banking or equity investment management. -Good interaction skills in a team working environment. -Ability to present plans, actions and carry out studies in finance and meta-analysis.
