Description
As a Field Service Electronics/Electrical Technician, a typical day might include the following:
- Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot problems of high complexity to the component level on SEL products.
- Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and products to ensure product quality and integrity.
- Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
- Partner with other divisions to satisfy the needs of our customers.
This job might be for you if:
- You have a two-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent.
- You have a strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics.
- You are willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
- You enjoy working in an electronics lab work environment.
- You enjoy solving complex problems alongside your team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing.
- Working knowledge of structured programming.
- Process improvement experience.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
- Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
- Ability to differentiate color
- Use of computer keyboard devices
- Reach, bend, and twist
