# What You’ll Be Doing
As a Presales Technical Consultant, you will work directly with customers to demonstrate HP hardware, software, and solutions. By understanding customer requirements, you will help position technical solutions to customer’s business challenges. Presales Technical consultants provide technical presentations to customers on a wide array of HP solutions and build trust as technical advisors. You will work closely with the sales team to win new business while retaining existing customers.
# What We’re Looking For
We are looking for candidates with a university or bachelor’s degree preferred and at least 2 or more years’ experience in relevant field. Candidates should be able to build strong relationships with technical decision makers, have a thorough understanding of the IT industry and key technologies, and possess strong communication skills.
We are looking for motivated individuals who can balance customer engagement with constant technical skill development. A successful Presales TC is expected to have or have a plan to develop deep knowledge of HP hardware and solutions.
# Responsibilities
- Provide consultative technical presales support for enterprise printing solutions, working with end-user sales and channel teams to identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and position solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders by translating business challenges into clear technical recommendations and value propositions.
- Conduct discovery sessions and needs assessments to understand customer environments, workflows, security requirements, infrastructure constraints, and expected operational outcomes.
- Design tailored enterprise printing solutions, including hardware, software, services, managed print services, workflow automation, fleet management, security, and cloud-enabled capabilities.
- Prepare and support technical proposals, RFI/RFP/RFQ responses, statements of work, solution architectures, and technical documentation for private and public sector opportunities.
- Deliver compelling customer presentations, demonstrations, and executive-level storytelling that clearly articulate the technical and business value of HP products, software, solutions, and services.
- Plan, configure, and support Proofs of Concept and lab demonstrations, including basic network environments, print infrastructure scenarios, software configuration, success criteria, and customer validation activities.
- Support channel partner enablement by delivering technical training, train-the-trainer sessions, demo guidance, PoC support, and best-practice sharing at country or market level.
- Collaborate with sales, services, product, delivery, and business development teams to validate solution feasibility, remove technical blockers, manage escalations, and support deal progression.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of enterprise printing technologies, Microsoft infrastructure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, networking fundamentals, security concepts, and integration requirements.
- Leverage artificial intelligence and data-driven insights to improve discovery, proposal quality, fleet optimization, predictive support, workflow automation, customer presentations, and business value analysis.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI-enabled capabilities in enterprise print environments, such as usage analytics, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, document workflow automation, intelligent support, and productivity improvement.
- Collect customer and partner feedback to improve products, software, solutions, services, sales assets, and presales programs.
- Execute global presales programs locally, adapting messaging, technical content, and enablement activities to country, market, and customer-specific requirements.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication, executive presence, consultative selling, storytelling, and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences.
- Bring a growth mindset and One HP approach, working collaboratively across teams, continuously developing technical expertise, and contributing to a high-performance presales culture.
- Communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
