Position Summary
We are seeking a Medical Scribe to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will work closely with physicians to document patient encounters in real time, maintain accurate electronic health records, and support efficient clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany physicians during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, physical findings, and provider interactions.
  • Record diagnoses, symptoms, treatment plans, prescriptions, procedures, and follow-up instructions as directed by the physician.
  • Transcribe physician orders, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and medications.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, complete electronic health records.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments for new and existing patients.
  • Help optimize schedules by offering earlier appointments when cancellations or openings become available.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments at check-out and document when follow-up scheduling cannot be completed.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation.
  • Support efficient clinical operations and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately document patient care and transcribe patient encounters.
  • Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Preferred
  • At least one year of Medical Scribe experience or related healthcare experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare or specialty practice setting.
