This is an exciting opportunity to join Kingfisher's Internal Audit team and make a real difference across an international retail business. As an Internal Auditor, you'll lead a varied portfolio of audits, partnering with teams across the Group to assess risks, strengthen controls, and support business performance. Alongside delivering high-quality audit work, you'll contribute to the continuous evolution of our audit practices through innovation and fresh thinking.
What's the job?
- Conduct risk assessments across financial, technology and e-commerce activities to identify key risks and shape audit coverage.
- Deliver risk-based audits and reviews, including testing financial, technology and e-commerce controls, to provide assurance on control effectiveness.
- Use data analytics, audit tools and industry best practice to identify control weaknesses and assess associated risks.
- Partner with senior management and leadership teams to agree actions, resolve issues and mitigate identified risks.
- Produce high-quality audit reports for senior management and Board-level stakeholders.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, share best practice and support the continuous improvement and innovation of the Internal Audit function.
What you'll bring
- Recognized qualification, such as Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or professionally qualified auditor (CIA, CMIIA, CPIIA).
- Confident using and interrogating large data sets and using data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience in internal audit, internal controls and/or external audit, with a strong understanding of governance, risk management, internal control and ITGC frameworks.
- Strong understanding of financial and/or technology controls and e-commerce retail operating processes.
- Good understanding of technology, including e-commerce and digital technologies.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
