Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration. The Healthcare Practice in our New York office is looking for an Architectural Design Professional 1 to join our team.
As part of the architecture discipline, the Design Professional 1 assists project teams at all stages of design and delivery, expanding their knowledge while producing essential deliverables for projects at the direction of experienced architects and designers. This position is responsible for the generation of representational graphics, models and drawings to support design presentations and the technical delivery of projects. The Design Professional 1 brings design talent and a desire to learn, contributing ideas and thoughtful solutions as a collaborative part of an interdisciplinary team. This person exhibits initiative and is capable of working independently on routine assignments under the guidance of experienced project leaders.
Essential Functions
- Documentation: Develops legible graphics utilizing appropriate software
- Representational Skills: Effectively creates renderings and sketches to describe ideas
- Building Technology: Actively acquires knowledge of technical terms and concepts
- Project Delivery: Supports the project team in the delivery of project documentation
- Codes and Accessibility: Actively acquires an understanding of code and accessibility requirements
- Quality Standards: Actively acquires knowledge of production and delivery standards
- Site Planning: Applies foundational understanding of site planning concepts
- Sustainability: Approaches projects with the understanding of sustainable concepts

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Architecture
- Architectural Experience Program (AXP); eligibility for or in process of attaining professional registration
- 0 to 3 years of architectural internships or entry level experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior summer internships or prior entry level experience.
- Master of Architecture
