Description
Location: Eysins, Switzerland, or remote from anywhere in Switzerland.
Functional Goal:
Support the business on all patent related questions to enable product launches.
Main Tasks:
Manage multi-country patent litigations;
Oversee the global IP strategy for several biosimilar products at various stages of development and launch;
Provide timely and accurate legal advice to senior management on complex IP landscapes to support business decisions;
Manage the prosecution of a patent portfolio covering inventions in the biopharma and injection device fields;
Engage in patent challenge work, including European patent oppositions;
Draft Freedom to Operate (FTO) opinions and monitor competitor IP landscapes;
Work closely with cross-functional project teams to guide the FTO design of biosimilar products;
Align IP, regulatory, supply, and commercial strategies to devise routes to key markets.
Other Tasks:
Develop life cycle management and creative IP strategies for biosimilar assets, including capturing patentable inventions, drafting, and prosecuting patent applications;
Assist in due diligence and licensing deals;
Provide training to non-IP professionals.
Qualification profile:
Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences field or biochemistry field, expertise in chemistry would be beneficial;
Licensed as a European Patent Attorney or US Patent Attorney;
10 years of experience in intellectual property
Skills:
Fluency in English; German and/or French would be beneficial.
