You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
