Job Summary
At Mass General Brigham, our Chair Car Drivers play an important role in helping patients safely get where they need to go. Based at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, you’ll provide safe, reliable non-emergency transportation for patients traveling between hospitals, clinics, nursing facilities, private homes, and other care locations.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and interacting with people while still being part of a supportive healthcare team. While this is not a direct patient care position, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a patient’s day by providing a safe, comfortable, and positive transportation experience.

• Consistent Schedule: 36 hours per week with three 12-hour shifts, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

What You’ll Do
• Provide safe and efficient non-emergency transportation to and from hospitals, clinics, nursing facilities, private homes, and other locations
• Help ensure each passenger has a safe, respectful, and positive transportation experience
• Operate vehicles with appropriate care and caution while following established safety policies and procedures
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, inspected, and ready for use at the beginning of each shift and after each trip
• Perform daily inspections of the assigned base or station and help maintain a clean, organized environment
• Coordinate and perform routine vehicle maintenance as needed
• Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, families, healthcare staff, and members of the community
What We’re Looking For
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of patient transportation experience preferred
• Dependable and responsible, with a strong commitment to safety
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Strong judgment, common sense, and problem-solving skills
• Professional and courteous when interacting with patients, families, staff, and the public
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare transportation team
