The University of Miami, Division of Development and Alumni Relations, has an exciting opportunity for a full time Event Planner to work in Coral Gables, FL.
The Events Planner oversees all aspects of planning meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, lectures, and other special events for the assigned department(s). Furthermore, the Events Planner assumes responsibility
for ensuring all amenities and accommodations at the event are adequate.
- Plans and executes events within timeline and budgetary constraints.
- Manages event registration and check-in for event guests and volunteers.
- Coordinates the purchase, inventory, and organization of event materials.
- Upkeeps event and team meeting calendars.
- Provides recommendations to upper management regarding vendor, venue, and food services.
- Acts as liaison to vendors and external entities.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
- Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
