Janitorial Technician

Location: This is a full-time, onsite position at our farm in Ely, Nevada. 
Schedule: Our schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with occasional holidays/weekends as needed.

About the Role
The Cleaner/Sanitizer is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment within our Dutch greenhouse and associated facility areas to support plant health and operational efficiency. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols critical to producing high-quality cannabis. This position works 2-3 days a week (open availability on weekends is a plus).

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and routine cleaning of facilities, restrooms, kitchen and other shared spaces. 
• Clean and disinfect tools, tables, equipment, and workstations as directed 
• Sweep, mop, and remove waste and debris in compliance with state regulations 
• Sanitize high-touch and high-traffic areas to reduce contamination risk 
• Follow strict sanitation and biosecurity procedures to prevent the spread of pests, mold, and disease 
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any inventory shortages or facility maintenance needs 
• Assist with general janitorial duties in common and staff areas as assigned 
• Work closely with cultivation and compliance teams to maintain facility cleanliness standards 
• Properly dispose of waste, following company protocols for organic and cannabis waste 

Job Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older 
• Must pass a background check to obtain a state-issued agent card 
• Must have reliable transportation to be able get to and from the farm 
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
• Previous janitorial or sanitation experience, especially in a greenhouse, laboratory, or production facility, is a plus

Location & Hours: 

• Onsite at our greenhouse facility
• 7 am - 330 pm Monday through Friday
• Flexibility is required for occasional extended hours during peak grow cycles

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements while cleaning and sanitizing.
• Regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
• Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment, including mops, vacuums, sprayers, carts, and other sanitation equipment.
• Work in indoor production, greenhouse, restroom, kitchen, and common areas with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
• Work around wet or slippery surfaces, standing water, plant materials, soil, dust, pollen, odors, and organic debris.
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, fertilizers, cannabis plants, mold, and other potential allergens or irritants.
• Must be able to read product labels, safety instructions, and Safety Data Sheets and safely handle, dilute, and apply cleaning products as trained.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment, which may include gloves, protective eyewear, masks or respirators when medically cleared and fit-tested, protective clothing, and facility-designated footwear.
• Must be able to perform duties safely while maintaining sanitation, biosecurity, and contamination-control requirements.

• Indoor production/warehouse setting
• Allergens include:
  • Cannabis Plant Material & Derivatives: Which may cause allergic reactions such as skin irritation, respiratory symptoms, or eye irritation
  • Dust & Particulate Matter: Exposure to plant dust, airborne particles, and packaging materials during handling and fulfillment processes
  • Packaging Materials: Contact with plastics, adhesives, inks, and labeling materials that may cause sensitivities in some individuals
  • Cleaning & Sanitation Agents
• GMP-aligned environment requiring cleanliness and organization
• Moderate noise levels and production-driven pace
• PPE may be required depending on task
