What Drives Success

The Sr. HR Generalist – HVAC Parts Distribution Center is a highly visible, onsite HR partner providing hands-on support to hourly employees and frontline leaders of the facility.  This role serves as a trusted point of contact for employee relations, onboarding, engagement and recognition, HR administration, policy guidance, and compliance.

 

The HR Generalist helps create a positive employee experience while ensuring consistent and effective HR support in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships, and making a direct impact on employees and operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Onboarding & New Hire Experience
  • Deliver a high-touch onboarding experience from realistic job previews through phased training, buddy systems, orientation, and early follow-up.
  • Lead new employee orientation covering expectations, policies, benefits resources, safety practices, culture, and site resources.
  • Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day new hire check-ins to identify concerns early, reinforce engagement, and support retention.
  • Coach supervisors to provide consistent milestone check-ins, training follow-up, and timely issue resolution for new hires.
• HR Operations & Employee Relations
  • Maintain regular floor presence to build trust, stay connected to employee needs, and support leaders in real time.
  • Advise employees and frontline leaders on policies, attendance, performance, workplace expectations, and employee concerns.
  • Support employee relations matters, documentation, investigations, and follow-up actions in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to resolve payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave questions.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Support daily safety practices, incident follow-up, and site safety culture in partnership with Operations and the regional safety leader.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, communications, and reports with confidentiality and sound judgment.
• Employee Recognition & Community
  • Manage the hourly employee recognition program to reinforce appreciation, performance, and site culture.
  • Coordinate community engagement opportunities, including volunteer events, local partnerships, and employee involvement activities.
• Workforce Planning & Frontline Leadership Support
  • Partner with site leaders to monitor staffing needs, turnover trends, schedule impacts, and retention opportunities.
  • Support frontline leadership training in onboarding, coaching, communication, documentation, engagement, and policy application.

 

What We Are Looking For

Experience and Qualifications: 

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting hourly employees in a distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, or similar operational environment.
• Experience supporting onboarding, orientation, employee relations, investigations, performance documentation, and frontline leader coaching.
• Ability to build trust through regular floor presence, responsiveness, practical problem solving, and strong partnership with employees and site leaders.
• Working knowledge of safety practices, employee engagement, recognition, retention, and community involvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with HR systems and reporting tools; Kronos and SAP experience preferred.

 

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $80k - $105k annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
