As a Traffic Dispatcher you will need extensive computer experience, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or with others. Additionally extensive verbal communication skills are needed to support daily coordination with Drivers and other Logistics Centers. Computer systems that will be utilized include Excel, DPS, and SAP system. 

Responsibilities

  • Sunday through Thursday 10pm-6am (With expectations to flex and cover weekend outages)
  • Daily production of the Bid Board and the awarding of runs to Drivers.
  • Daily review of Driver DOT trip reports, editing and creating reports
  • Monitoring Drivers DOT Hours of Service and available hours.
  • Communicating with Drivers on Dispatch instructions and changes.
  • Coordinating with DC Leads appointments and trailer requirements.
  • Coordinating and instructing lease Drivers as needed.
  • Coordinating the Florida Doubles operation and Networking Hub with Traffic Drivers.
  • Daily communication with Drivers to review service needs and requirements.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound loads are delivered on time.
  • Communicating with Warehouse Leads on load status.
  • Consistent and effective communication by email and telephone.
  • Tracking and maintaining trailer and tractor inventory.
  • All other duties as assigned by Resource

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $39,500 - $63,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1+ year of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ year of administrative or clerical experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, or varying shifts as business needs require; schedule is subject to change.
