About the role
We are looking for an Advisor Electrical to provide technical assistance, support and expert advice to Drilling Operations leaders with a focus on statutory compliance, electrical safety and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Superintendent Operations, you will help ensure fixed plant and electrical assets are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements while supporting safe, reliable and efficient operational outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Superintendent Operations and working closely with operational leaders, electrical maintainers and functional partners, you will:
• Provide statutory electrical guidance and fulfil responsibilities associated with Electrical Supervisor appointments under relevant WHS legislation.
• Promote a positive safety culture by supporting compliance, risk management and safe system of work practices across drilling operations.
• Identify, evaluate and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance electrical reliability, safety and asset performance.
• Collaborate with operational, maintenance and planning stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support operational outcomes.
• Maintain statutory inspections, records and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with legislative obligations.
• Develop and implement systems, standards and work practices that support compliance with government acts, regulations and codes of practice.
• Coach, mentor and provide technical support to operational teams to build electrical capability and improve decision-making.
• Support preventative and proactive maintenance strategies that improve asset integrity, equipment reliability and operational readiness.
About you

Current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
Demonstrated experience supervising commercial, industrial or mining electrical projects
S26 training
Demonstrated experience providing electrical technical support within mining, resources, manufacturing or other heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical statutory compliance, inspections, risk management and legislative requirements.
• Experience developing, implementing and auditing electrical maintenance and compliance systems.
• Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence and relevant electrical qualifications required for statutory appointment responsibilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, provide technical coaching and work effectively across operations, maintenance and contractor groups.
Helpful for Success
• High Voltage Switching Operator and First Aid qualifications.
• Experience with asset management, reliability improvement and preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience working with contractors and external suppliers in a safety-critical environment.
