How you'll make an impact
As an Account Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. You’ll:
- Oversee client insurance requirements, including renewals, mid-year alterations, and claims handling, ensuring all processes are followed.
- Provide expert guidance to Account Executives and support them in managing client relationships.
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
- Negotiate with insurers to secure the best coverage and terms for clients.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities to meet income retention and acquisition targets.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality file records.
About you
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:
- CIP qualification as a minimum, with progress towards MDI or ACII.
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- A positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to embrace change.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Strong technical and product knowledge, with excellent negotiation skills.
- Compliance with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity standards.
