Responsibilities & Requirements

The Physical Therapist I delivers evidence-based physical therapy services to patients across the care continuum, focusing on assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention to restore function, relieve pain, and improve mobility. This role supports patient safety, access, and outcomes by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and educating patients and families on rehabilitation strategies. This role conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program or equivalent as recognized by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board. However, bachelors and masters with current PT licensure acceptable. Completion of clinical rotations as part of PT program. Current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board prior to start date. Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and Ohio jurisprudence examination. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain during orientation period.
