About you and this role
The Solution Manager is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and evolving business applications and digital solutions that enable critical business processes. This role serves as a trusted partner between business stakeholders and IT, providing functional expertise, solution design, application support, continuous improvement, and delivery of technology-enabled business capabilities. He or she manages solutions throughout their lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, adoption, optimization, support, and retirement. The role works closely with Sr. Solution Managers, business process owners, developers, vendors, and end users to ensure reliable, secure, and value-driven technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Application Lifecycle Management
Manage applications and digital solutions through their full lifecycle.
Support application roadmaps, upgrades, enhancements, and retirement activities.
Ensure solutions remain secure, compliant, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and optimize business processes.
Business Partnership & Solution Ownership
Partner with business stakeholders to understand process requirements and strategic priorities.
Translate business needs into solution requirements and functional designs.
Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and business processes.
Drive alignment between technology capabilities and business objectives.
Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and change management activities.
Coordinate and execute functional testing, user acceptance testing, and production support activities.
Support implementation of new capabilities, SAP enhancements, integrations, automation, AI, and digital initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
Operational Support
Resolve production incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
Analyze root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Monitor application health, performance, and user adoption.
Collaborate with development teams, vendors, and global support organizations to resolve issues.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with business customers and IT partners.
Communicate solution status, risks, and recommendations effectively.
Support knowledge transfer, user training, and documentation activities.
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
- Min experience of 8-15 years on the role.
- SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Knowledge of SAP FI/CO, and MM modules.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong data management experience.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Understanding of application support, testing, and change management processes.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Your Skills
- Experience with SAP and non SAP systems integrations such as APIs, XML, IDOC.
- Experience with Azure, Power Platform, automation, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Understanding of financial processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading small-to-medium projects and enhancement initiatives.
- SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Knowledge of SAP FI, CO, and MM modules.
- Experience in managing teams.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong data management experience.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
