About the Opportunity
Our recruiting firm is representing a confidential client in the commercial construction industry seeking an experienced Drywaller to join their field team.
This position is responsible for performing drywall, carpentry, demolition, and related construction activities while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who can work independently, contribute effectively to a team, and help support less experienced crew members.
The Drywaller will work under the direction of site leadership, such as a Lead Drywaller or Superintendent.
Work Schedule
The typical schedule is approximately 40–70 hours per week, depending on project requirements and workload. Overtime may be available and is paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate for eligible hours worked.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and promote company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable job-site safety standards.
- Perform drywall, carpentry, demolition, and related construction work according to established quality and safety expectations.
- Hang, tape, finish, sand, and paint drywall efficiently and accurately.
- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Assist with the inspection and operation of aerial equipment, skid steers, forklifts, and other job-site equipment as qualified.
- Unload, organize, store, and stage materials for construction activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist and provide guidance to less experienced team members when needed.
- Read and work from construction plans and blueprints.
- Perform demolition and other assigned construction-related tasks.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by site leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional drywall/construction experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-intensity construction environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of standard construction practices and applicable occupational safety requirements.

- Ability to determine the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials required for assigned work.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including:
- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, kneeling, and working on uneven surfaces.
- Regularly lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lifting or moving materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Working in environments where temperature, noise, and other conditions may vary.
- Communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and other job-site personnel.
- Maintaining sufficient near-vision acuity to review written documentation and construction materials.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times as applicable.
