Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
