What You Will Do:

The Business Development - Investor Relations Specialist will support our Client's Investor Relations and Business Development team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with strong communication and project management skills who thrives in an entrepreneurial, lean environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage projects from inception through completion. Candidates should have prior exposure to private credit, private equity, or alternative investments and a demonstrated ability to synthesize and present complex information in a clear and compelling manner. This individual will be an ambitious and proactive professional who enjoys contributing to a fast-paced fundraising environment while supporting strategic initiatives across the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Investor Relations team in investor communications and fundraising initiatives
  • Assist with investor inquiries, meeting preparation, and follow-up communications

  • Draft, refine, and maintain investor-facing materials, including:
    • Pitchbooks and presentations
    • Investor letters and fund updates
    • DDQs, RFPs, and diligence materials
    • White papers, market commentary, and thematic pieces
    • Case studies and bespoke investor materials
  • Translate complex investment strategies and market views into concise, compelling messaging
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all investor communications and marketing materials
  • Coordinate internally across investment, finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams to gather information and complete investor deliverables
  • Independently manage fundraising and investor diligence requests from start to finish
  • Analyze and interpret portfolio, fund, and strategy-level data for prospective and existing investors
  • Assist with recurring investor reporting requests and questionnaires on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Conduct research on prospective investors and support pipeline tracking efforts
  • Assist with conference preparation, roadshows, investor meetings, and onsite visits
  • Organize and maintain investor, fund, and firm-level data and materials
  • Support investor onboarding processes, including coordination with external legal counsel and administrators on AML and subscription documentation
  • Contribute to broader discussions regarding product positioning, strategic messaging, and market differentiation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in investor relations, capital formation, investment management, consulting, or product specialist roles
  • Prior experience within private credit, private equity, or alternative investments strongly preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to independently produce polished, client-ready materials
  • Demonstrated experience writing analytical and strategic content, including market commentary, white papers, and investment materials
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with large datasets, including proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and related analytical tools
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Collaborative, professional, and solutions-oriented
  • Comfortable operating in a demanding, non-hierarchical environment
  • Adaptable and eager to grow with the role over time
