Job Description:

Legal

· Provide up-to-date know-how on all applicable law to the business and legal department for GSA

· Provide legal support to the following businesses and functions for Germany, Switzerland and Austria:

o Disney+, Networks, Studios, Distribution, Ad Sales

o Local Productions (working in close coordination with the central Production Legal team)

o Cross-business Marketing and Events

o Business operations and infrastructure e.g. corporate, environmental and health and safety

· Draft, negotiate and review agreements such as content commercial distribution agreements, production agreements associated with Disney+, advertising sales agreements etc

· Develop and maintain up-to-date templates for the full range of commercial agreements

· Manage the maintenance of clear and up to date folders and databases in respect of templates and transactions both locally and on any regional databases, mostly for audit and compliance purposes

· Instruct external counsel where necessary and manage outside counsel budgets

· Be part of all relevant executive meetings and board meetings for GSA

· Ensure regulatory compliance across all businesses e.g. competition and consumer law compliance for Disney+ and all Disney websites in the markets

· Liaise internally with business leads and other functions for GSA: Finance, Communications, Privacy, Tax, Real Estate, Health and Safety and Enterprise Technology and Tech Operations

Public Policy

· Lead on all GPP related matters for GSA and the Netherlands

· Grow and maintain networks with policymakers along with representation in trade and industry associations

· Maintain an expertise in the policy environment affecting TWDC’s business in the relevant markets

· Identify and analyse new government policies and political and economic dynamics across the region

· Translate business priorities into public policy initiatives to advance TWDC’s business agenda and to mitigate risks

· Develop and implement strategies to further influence policymaking and regulation

· Proactively draft and implement stakeholder engagement initiatives and ensure ongoing stakeholder alignment / build strategic partnerships

Leadership

· Management of the GSA legal team (in person), ensuring appropriate distribution of the work and appropriate skill set across the team

· Leadership and guidance on the implementation of best practice

· Provide input to cross-functional projects across EMEA

· Provide regular updates to the Chief Regional Counsel and SVP GPP respectively to highlight any contentious or important matters to the GPP and/or Legal function in EMEA
