Description

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Procurement Operation Lead.

## What you’ll do:

Eaton’s (Electrical Sector America) is seeking a (Procurement Operations Lead) in (Queretaro)

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  • Resiliency projects based on ten distinct types of resiliencies as outlined by EBS, with the principal goal of protecting sales operations and maintaining alignment with profit plan objectives. These efforts involve close collaboration with the operations site team and adherence to the established escalation procedures at GPS Portal.
  • Cost Out projects based on plant operations, ensuring alignment with GPO Team strategy to identify opportunities for any related projects. Establish appropriate commercial agreements such as VMI, MPA, Bailment Agreements, and Award letters, while focusing on productivity improvements through long-term contracts or rebate programs and report and track monthly at GPS data base.
  • Eaton Standard Sourcing Process applies to all projects associated with APQP, where Procurement Ops Lead will be responsible for leading the Sourcing Council and overseeing the APQP process, collaborating closely with core team members assigned to the project, including representatives from GPO, Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Opex, and others as necessary.
  • New Product Introduction where the Procurement Lead will support by following the PROLaunch process as directed by the Program Manager and will be responsible for adhering to project phases and the ESSP process.
  • The Supplier Business & Operations Review primarily aims to assess supplier performance in alignment with the GPO Team (commercial), Quality team, and Operations (Planning). The process also involves developing strategies such as capacity planning, supplier categorization for business needs, and fostering strong relationships between Eaton and its suppliers according to the EBS model.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive 3 years strategy for the procurement function within the assigned plant and commodity areas
  • Supply Chain Project Management includes managing CAPEX investments, ensuring timely release of purchase orders according to project requirements, adhering to the GR/IR process for submitted POs, and maintaining accurate records and tracking through GPS and SharePoint for the SCM team, and

Essential Functions:

  • Identify, initiate, qualify, and manage sourcing activities for each plant, focusing on cost reduction, supplier rationalization, consolidation, or reallocating resources to approved vendors who maintain good performance (scorecard).
  • Primary responsibilities include identifying, recommending, and assessing potential suppliers for new business opportunities in accordance with EBS guidelines and ESSP.
  • Responsible for creating SBR and/or SBO for current and potential suppliers.
  • Keep open and clear communication and relationship across internal functional areas and suppliers.
  • Participate and Lead Cost Out Ideas Generation events to always keep healthy cost out project pipeline (2x minimal of PP commitments)
  • Handover of projects to Purchasing area at the plant
  • Constantly Run Assessments to keep Risk Management updated for the suppliers assigned.
  • Sourcing Council for all assigned projects
  • Category and/or Product Line Supply Base Analysis

## Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or bachelor´s degree at administration or international business
  • Above 5 years of experience in SCM related activities and above 2 years of experience supervising people
  • Familiar with ISO9000/14000 or IATF Quality Systems (APQP)
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Strong Problem Solving skill
  • Strong Communication
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
