Mason

We are seeking an experienced Mason for a full-time, permanent opportunity with an established contractor specializing in historic restoration and preservation projects throughout Connecticut and New England.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mason who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and wants to work on unique historic and architecturally significant buildings.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform brick, block, and stone masonry work
• Repair and restore existing historic masonry
• Repoint brick and stone using appropriate techniques
• Remove and replace deteriorated masonry materials
• Match existing brick, stone, mortar, and finishes
• Perform masonry repairs on walls, foundations, chimneys, facades, and other structures
• Mix and apply mortar while maintaining proper joint profiles
• Work carefully around existing historic materials and architectural features
• Complete both interior and exterior masonry restoration

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional masonry experience preferred
• Strong experience with brick, block, stone, and mortar
• Experience with restoration, repointing, or historic masonry is highly preferred
• Ability to match existing masonry and produce clean, detailed work
• Knowledge of traditional masonry techniques is a plus
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a crew
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Position Details

• Pay: $30–$40/hour, based on experience
• Full-time, permanent position
