Description

WHO WE ARE:

As Singapore’s longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. How? By taking the time to truly understand people. From there, we provide support, services, solutions, and career paths that meet their individual needs and desires.

Today, we’re on a journey of transformation. Leveraging technology and creativity to become a future-ready learning organisation. But for all that change, our strategic ambition is consistently clear and bold, which is to be Asia’s leading financial services partner for a sustainable future.

We invite you to build the bank of the future. Innovate the way we deliver financial services. Work in friendly, supportive teams. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career.

Your Opportunity Starts Here.

The role is responsible for supporting the department’s transition from traditional reconciliation operations to a more technology-enabled, multi-skilled operating model. The successful candidate will lead and support end-to-end reconciliation, automation and AI enablement initiatives across the Bank, with a strong focus on SmartStream TLM configuration, matching rule optimisation, testing, process redesign, stakeholder engagement and controlled implementation.

As the reconciliation function evolves, the role will be expected to embrace AI, automation and data-driven ways of working while maintaining strong governance, risk management and operational control standards. The candidate will work with business stakeholders, Technology teams and vendors to gather requirements, prepare URS, BRD and FSD documentation, perform SIT/UAT and parallel run testing, support production rollout, and maintain both traditional reconciliation configurations and future AI model capabilities within TLM.

The role also supports end-to-end risk, governance and control matters, including adherence to Group policies, third-party/vendor risk oversight, documentation, audit readiness and transformation programmes across the department.

The candidate is expected to champion change, challenge legacy processes and help build sustainable capabilities in reconciliation configuration, AI model monitoring, continuous model training, automation, analytics and operational excellence, in alignment with OCBC’s values and risk culture.

  • Engage business users to understand complete requirements and prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), process flows, test plans and implementation documents.

  • Configure, maintain and enhance reconciliation workflows, matching rules, pass criteria, exception handling logic, user access controls and operational controls within SmartStream TLM and other reconciliation platforms.

  • Review and challenge existing workflows, identify manual touchpoints, control gaps and inefficiencies, and design future-state processes that are scalable, well-controlled and operationally sustainable.

  • Embed efficient and scalable controls that support innovation, disciplined risk management, audit traceability and sustainable operational change.

  • Manage complex reconciliation initiatives across SmartStream TLM, Intellimatch, DUCO or equivalent platforms, including configuration changes, regression testing, defect management and implementation governance.

  • Develop automation, dashboards and analytics using Power BI, Python, SQL, Power Automate and RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism.

  • Build operational dashboards and reports covering reconciliation breaks, exceptions, ageing, trends, productivity and risk indicators.

  • Liaise with Technology teams and external vendors for solution design, system enhancements, testing, issue resolution, upgrades and implementation delivery.

  • Plan and coordinate SIT, UAT, regression testing, parallel runs, production deployment, post-live validation and user readiness activities to ensure controlled implementation and minimal operational disruption.

  • Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous enhancement of AI model capabilities within TLM, including model inventory, training data review, continuous model retraining, monitoring, documentation, traceability and auditability across the model lifecycle.

  • Perform and coordinate AI model testing, validation support, monitoring, periodic review, performance assessment, issue tracking and remediation follow-up in line with applicable governance requirements.

  • Collaborate with AI model development teams, vendors, Risk, Compliance, Model Validation, Audit, Technology and Operations teams to strengthen governance controls, resolve issues and support audit or regulatory enquiries.

  • Act as a change advocate within the department by promoting adoption of AI, automation, analytics and future-ready reconciliation practices while supporting knowledge transfer and capability building across the team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related discipline.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in reconciliation, business analysis, system configuration, testing, automation, transformation or AI-enabled operational change within financial services.

  • Strong experience in requirements gathering and preparation of URS, BRD, FSD, user stories, workflow diagrams, test cases and implementation documentation.

  • Good understanding of reconciliation processes including GL, Nostro, Cash, Securities.

  • Hands-on experience in administration, configuration or enhancement of reconciliation platforms such as SmartStream TLM, Intellimatch, DUCO or similar solutions, including matching rules, pass logic and exception workflows.

  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Python, SQL, Power Automate and/or RPA technologies, with the ability to apply data analytics and automation to operational problem solving.

  • Experience working with vendors, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Audit and senior stakeholders.

  • Exposure to AI-enabled solutions, model governance, model inventory, model monitoring, continuous model training or AI testing will be an advantage.
