Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Barback/Bar Prep. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our bartenders and ensuring the smooth operation of our bar area. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and have a basic understanding of Math. The Ideal candidate will also be self sufficient in basic syrup making techniques. Responsibilities:Stocking and Inventory Management: Assist in stocking and replenishing bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies needed for the completion of everyday tasks. Bar Setup and Breakdown: Prepare the bar area for service by setting up stations, arranging glassware, and ensuring cleanliness and organization. Assist in breakdown and cleaning at the end of shifts.Assisting Bartenders: Support bartenders during service by fetching and opening bottles, preparing garnishes, refilling ice bins, and ensuring they have all necessary tools and ingredients.Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bar area throughout shifts, including wiping down surfaces, disposing of waste, and sanitizing equipment.Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, including promptly clearing empty glasses and assisting with any guest inquiries or requests.Assist in Beverage Preparation: Assist in preparing simple drinks, such as pouring draft beer or mixing basic cocktails, as needed.Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service guidelines and sanitation standards.Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with bartenders, servers, and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and teamwork. This position is a bartender training program, as you will be serving alcoholic drinks for the bartenders during the busy times you are expected to become a bartender within 12 months of starting the position. Qualifications:Previous Experience: Prior experience in a barback or similar role is preferred but not required.
