Medical Lab Technologist, Point of Care Testing (POCT)

About the unit

Point Of Care Unit.

In partnership with Lead(s), Coordinator(s), and Leadership, acts as the POCT subject matter expert, monitoring regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and providing education, as well as clinical and operational support across assigned sites. Maintains primary responsibility for assigned site(s), ensuring standardized practices and compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Standard Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Clinical internship proof of completion (e.g., NAACLS accredited program – hospital-based or university-based)i. Certificate of completion (hospital-based)ii. “Clinical Practicum” designation on transcript (university-based)

• 1 year of relevant experience a related field Preferred

• CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - AMT American Medical Technologists Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Clinical Toxicology - AACC American Association for Clinical Chemistry Toxicology Dept Only Upon Hire required
