ChristianaCare's Cardiology practice at the Health Care Center is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

ChristianaCare Cardiology provides specialized care in virtually all aspects of cardiology. They work as a team to give our patients the best cardiac care possible.

This department uses state-of-the-art equipment and the latest procedures available in cardiac medicine. They also provide sophisticated cardiovascular diagnostic imaging service and provide rehabilitation services to help speed our patients recovery

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 7:30am -5:00pm ; (hours could vary, will not exceed 40 hours/week). Primary schedule will be 8:30am-5pm.
• No weekends or holidays
• Flexibility to travel to other locations, strongly preferred.

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
