We are proud to have been helping our clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. How have we achieved this? By working together - and supporting each other - all over the world. So, join our team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we.  We are proud of our inclusive culture and encourage applications from the widest mix of talent, whatever your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, social background and more.

As a flexible employer, we trust our people to perform their role in the way that works best for them, our clients and our business. We are a disability-friendly company and would welcome a conversation with you if you feel you might benefit from any reasonable adjustments to perform to the best of your ability during the recruitment process and beyond.

About your team

The Health, Safety & Sustainability (HSS) team (part of Corporate Services) partner with the wider business to create safe, healthy and sustainable workplaces while enabling operational resilience, regulatory compliance and Fidelity's Net Zero ambitions. The team provides expertise, governance and assurance that supports employees, clients and the wider business globally.

About your role
As Health, Safety & Sustainability Senior Manager for the UK and Europe, you will play a leading role in delivering Fidelity's health, safety and sustainability strategy across one of our largest regions. Working closely with Facilities, Real Estate, Procurement, Security, Travel and Workplace Experience teams, you will help embed HSS considerations into business decision-making, workplace operations and strategic projects.

You will provide subject matter expertise across health, safety, wellbeing and environmental management while overseeing compliance with Fidelity's HSS Management System and supporting internationally recognised certifications including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 45003. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support delivery of our Net Zero 2030 roadmap, monitor performance metrics and lead assurance activities including audits, risk assessments and governance reporting.

Success in this role comes from building strong partnerships across the business and helping teams achieve their objectives safely, sustainably and responsibly. You will act as a trusted advisor, influencing stakeholders at all levels and ensuring HSS remains a business enabler that creates value, resilience and positive outcomes for our people and organisation.

About you

You will bring a strong track record of delivering health, safety and sustainability programmes within a complex corporate environment, together with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH certificate or equivalent minimum, Diploma preferred).
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH or working towards Chartered status.
  • Significant experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental sustainability, carbon reduction and Net Zero programmes.
  • Experience leading audits, assurance activities, risk assessments and regulatory compliance programmes.
  • Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent English communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in German is highly desirable and would support effective stakeholder engagement

Feel rewarded

For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package. We’ll value your wellbeing and support your development. And we’ll be as flexible as we can about where and when you work – finding a balance that works for all of us.
