AI Engineer - 6-month internship (H/F)

Overview

1500 €/ month – 6 months internship – full time 

 As a Junior AI Engineer, you'll build the agents, MCP capabilities, orchestration and integrations that connect AI to Aptean's industry-specific enterprise software — starting from real business problems identified by the Go-to-Market team. 

This is a role for someone who wants to build things that actually run. 

 

What will you do: 

• From Business Problem to Technical Challenge: start from real business requirements and technical challenges; work with the AI Go-to-Market team, customers, product and domain experts; translate an industry problem into an architecture, not just an idea; understand the systems, data and constraints the solution must live in. 

• Agentic Architecture & MCP Design: design agents that understand context, reason and plan actions; build MCP servers and tools exposing enterprise systems safely to AI; architect orchestration workflows where agents, applications and humans collaborate; explore emerging agent architectures against real industry problems. 

• Engineering & Integration: engineer the solution with AppCentral and Aptean technologies; connect AI to industry-specific ERP and enterprise applications; build for reliability, security and enterprise-grade quality; use and improve Aptean's AI powered development frameworks along the way. 

• Validation, Hardening & Scale: evaluate whether the AI actually solves the problem; harden the solution: reliability, security, performance and engineering quality; document the architecture and the decisions behind it; prepare successful capabilities for broader adoption across Aptean. 

 

You might belong here if: 

• You're completing the final year of an engineering or Master's degree 

• You're excited by Agentic AI, LLMs and modern software engineering. 

• You enjoy turning ambiguous problems into working systems. 

• You write code and you like shipping things that work. 

• You think in systems, not just in features. 

• You're comfortable learning technologies you haven't used before. 

• You want to understand why a business works the way it does - not just the API. 

• You take ownership of what you build. 

• You enjoy working with engineers, business experts and customers.

• You're fluent in English and French.

• You are a final-year student / apprentice or graduate with up to two years of experience. 

• Previous experience through internships, apprenticeships or an initial role in software engineering, AI, data or enterprise software development is valuable but not mandatory.
