Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join our established L&I Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Building Surveying team. Working across the UK, you will deliver Technical Due Diligence and building surveying instructions on a diverse range of commercial property assets.

This is a client-facing role suited to an experienced surveyor with strong commercial consultancy and TDD expertise. You will manage multiple assignments, provide clear and commercially focused advice, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Role Accountabilities:

• Lead and deliver Technical Due Diligence commissions across commercial property portfolios.
• Identify, assess, and report on key building and asset risks, providing practical recommendations.
• Deliver technical consultancy services, including TDD, condition surveys, and related building surveying commissions.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring quality, profitability, and timely delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure effective project and financial management.
• Support business growth and contribute to the ongoing success of the commercial building surveying offering.
• Provide regular project updates and performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Represent Arcadis professionally at all times.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree qualified and MRICS accredited.
• Strong post-qualification experience in commercial building surveying consultancy.
• Proven Technical Due Diligence experience.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially aware with a focus on delivering high-quality client outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise advice.
• Collaborative approach with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional, proactive, and committed to developing others through mentoring and support.
