Job Scope

As a Quality Engineer, you will report to the Manager Program Quality and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure quality requirements are effectively planned, implemented, and maintained throughout the product lifecycle.

During product and process development, you drive quality planning and risk management activities to support successful industrialization, production readiness, and completion of customer approval requirements prior to start of production. During serial production, you serve as a key customer quality representative, supporting quality performance, change management activities, customer claim resolution, and structured problem-solving initiatives.

Through close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer teams, you help ensure product and process quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with internal, industry, and customer-specific requirements while contributing to continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Drive quality planning and risk management activities throughout product and process development to ensure quality requirements are effectively incorporated into product launches.
  • Lead customer approval and production readiness activities, ensuring all quality deliverables are completed in line with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Act as a primary quality interface between customers and internal stakeholders, supporting customer satisfaction through effective communication and management of quality-related topics.
  • Manage quality-related product, process, and customer changes, ensuring risks are assessed and requirements are implemented effectively.
  • Lead and support structured problem-solving activities and corrective actions to address internal quality issues as well as customer concerns and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives, project milestones, and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives by utilizing lessons learned, performance data, and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc or MSc degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Program Quality, Customer Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, supporting product and process development, industrialization, production launches, customer quality activities, or serial production.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and interfacing with customers on quality-related topics is preferred.

Specific skills & Knowledge

  • Good understanding of quality management systems and industry standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA requirements, or equivalent quality frameworks.
  • Knowledge of product and process quality planning methodologies, including APQP and/or MLA, as well as associated quality tools.
  • Experience with customer approval processes such as PPAP and/or PPA, including preparation and review of quality-related documentation.
  • Familiarity with quality planning and risk management tools, including FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and similar methodologies.
  • Knowledge of measurement and process validation methodologies, including MSA and/or VDA 5, capability studies, production trials, or comparable approaches.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies, such as 8D, DMAIC, or equivalent techniques.
  • Ability to assess quality risks, manage changes, and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and interface with customers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Swedish is considered an advantage.
