About Atlas RFID

At Atlas RFID, we help people take their organizations to the next level. Since 2008, we have made RFID and IoT technology clear, accessible, and effective for businesses worldwide, serving more than 75,000 customers in 100+ countries with complete solutions backed by expert guidance and long-term support.

Our Service Bureau brings that mission to life by printing, encoding, and delivering custom RFID tags to each customer's exact specifications.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, dependable part-time RFID Printing & Encoding Specialist to fulfill custom RFID tag orders from data setup through shipment and help our Service Bureau scale as order volume grows.

You'll set up customer data, build print templates, send proofs, operate multiple printers, and verify every order before it leaves the building. You'll work closely with Account Managers and the Operations Team on customer cases and timelines, and with partners to verify outsourced orders.

This is a hands-on, in-office production role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and producing accurate, high-quality work.

No prior RFID experience is required. We care more about accuracy, organization, technical aptitude, and the willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

1. Printing & Encoding Production

  • Set up RFID printers, load customer data, and execute printing and encoding batches.
  • Operate multiple printers simultaneously while keeping jobs organized and on schedule.
  • Re-roll and cut tags to specified quantities and roll sizes, and label and encode hard tags.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) on every order before preparing it for shipment with the Operations Team.
  • Track supply levels and production waste to help maintain accurate inventory.

2. Order Setup & Verification

  • Set up customer cases and prepare data in Microsoft Excel, including encoding sequences and order requirements.
  • Create and maintain label templates using printer software.
  • Organize and manage customer order files in Windows Explorer.
  • Prepare and send production proofs to customers, securing approval before printing begins.
  • Verify outsourced partner orders by reviewing customer data, print proofs, and completed physical tags.

3. Customer Cases & Team Support

  • Manage customer cases, respond promptly to questions, and provide updates on order status.
  • Coordinate with Account Managers to confirm customer requirements, production timelines, and lead times.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving printers, customer data, and RFID tags.
  • Recognize recurring problems and escalate issues that may affect production quality or delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and help document processes as order volume grows.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort learning to work with large datasets, sequences, and formulas.
  • Ability to organize and manage files using Windows Explorer.
  • Comfort learning new software, including label design and printer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Clear, professional written communication with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities without losing track of details.
  • Willingness to troubleshoot problems and learn new technical skills.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, use a ladder, and stand for several hours at a time.

Personal Characteristics

You'll be successful in this role if you:

  • Notice the details. You recognize patterns, spot discrepancies, and catch potential mistakes before they become problems.
  • Take initiative. You work independently, stay productive, and don't wait to be told what to do next.
  • Stay organized. You can move between print jobs, customer cases, and approvals without losing your place.
  • Solve problems. When a printer, file, or tag isn't behaving as expected, you investigate and work toward a solution.
  • Balance speed with accuracy. You understand that getting an order right is just as important as getting it done on time.
  • Take ownership. You hold yourself accountable for the quality and completeness of your work.
