Description

As the Associate Merchandiser, Women’s Footwear Icons, you’ll help shape how Vans’ most iconic footwear comes to life for consumers across the Americas. As a key member of the Americas Regional Merchandising team, you’ll partner with Global Merchandising, Regional Planning, Marketing, and Commercial teams to bring relevant, consumer-focused assortments to market. From seasonal assortment execution and business reporting to sample coordination and go-to-market readiness, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the merchandising process while helping drive the Women’s Footwear Icons business forward. This role will report to the Merchandising Manager, Women’s Footwear Icons.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting by monitoring sales, inventory, and key performance indicators, then summarize insights that help inform in-season actions and future-season decisions. Identify opportunities in product performance, pricing, inventory, and channel behavior, and complete ad hoc analysis to support seasonal assortment decisions.
  • Monitor women's footwear trends, consumer demand, competitive activity, and marketplace shifts, sharing relevant observations with the broader merchandising team.
  • Support the development and execution of seasonal Women's Footwear Icons assortments across Vans channels in the Americas.
  • Maintain assortment line plans, product tools, and order-entry information, ensuring product data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Support regional line architecture, assortment strategies, marketplace segmentation, and in-region pricing within global guidelines.
  • Manage product samples, support showroom setup, and monitor products online to help ensure launches go live accurately and on time.
  • Assist with seasonal milestone preparation, including line reviews, go-to-market meetings, and buy reviews, ensuring regional deliverables reflect marketplace needs.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising, planning, marketing, visual merchandising, and commercial partners to support product launches, seasonal stories, forecasting, and product lifecycle execution.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this entry-level role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and grow. A degree in merchandising, business, fashion, or a related field is helpful, but we are most interested in your capabilities, curiosity, and relevant experience.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience through work, internships, coursework, or projects in merchandising, buying, planning, retail, footwear, or a related area.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Passion for footwear, product, brand storytelling, and the Vans consumer.
  • Interest in footwear trends, marketplace dynamics, and consumer behavior.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn reporting, analytics, and product lifecycle management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A positive, authentic, and curious approach, with the motivation to learn the business and contribute to team results.
