Company Description
We are building an AI platform that is transforming how complex engineering simulations are performed.
Traditional engineering simulation software relies on numerical methods that can take hours or even days to produce results. Our platform uses advanced AI models trained to understand the underlying physics of real-world systems, helping engineers run simulations and analyze results significantly faster.
The company is developing its own physics foundation models and proprietary model architecture rather than simply building applications on top of existing language models. Its technology is being applied to complex engineering problems across industries such as automotive, energy, and other industrial sectors.
You'll join a small, highly technical team of researchers and engineers working at the intersection of AI, physics, and engineering. As a Product Engineer, you'll work directly with researchers and the founding team to turn advanced research into practical, reliable software used by engineering teams.
This is a high-ownership opportunity to build the customer-facing product from the ground up. You'll work across frontend, APIs, backend services, and data systems, taking features from initial design through deployment and ongoing production reliability.
What You Will Do
-
Own the customer-facing product: Build and extend the platform that allows engineers to interact with advanced AI-powered simulation technology.
-
Build end-to-end engineering workflows: Develop product experiences for importing CAD and 3D geometry, configuring model jobs, running simulations, and visualizing results.
-
Work across the full stack: Own frontend interfaces, APIs, backend services, and data systems rather than working within a single specialized layer.
-
Turn research into product: Collaborate directly with researchers to translate advanced model capabilities into usable, reliable customer-facing workflows.
-
Build reliable production systems: Take ownership of rollouts, migrations, application reliability, and the overall quality of the product.
-
Develop customer-facing features: Build software that external engineering teams and technical users depend on in their day-to-day workflows.
-
Own projects from start to finish: Take features from requirements and technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
-
Improve product usability: Build intuitive interfaces that make complex engineering and simulation workflows easier for users to operate.
-
Work closely with the founding team: Collaborate directly with the CEO and engineering team to shape product priorities and technical direction.
-
Contribute across technical domains: Move comfortably between frontend, backend, APIs, and data systems as the product and customer requirements evolve.
Ideal Candidate Background
Required Experience
-
Approximately 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally across full-stack or product engineering roles.
-
Candidates with 2–3+ years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong ownership and technical ability. Candidates with up to approximately 15 years may also be considered.
-
Experience working at an early-stage startup or a technology scale-up.
-
Experience building and shipping customer-facing products that real external users depend on.
-
Experience owning features end to end, from initial specifications through implementation, rollout, migrations, and production reliability.
-
Strong full-stack engineering capabilities, with experience across frontend, APIs, backend services, and data systems.
-
Strong experience with React and TypeScript, alongside Python or transferable equivalents.
-
Ability to work across the stack rather than focusing exclusively on frontend or backend development.
-
Experience taking ownership of technical problems and delivering solutions independently.
-
Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team where requirements and priorities can evolve.
-
Ability to collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and company leadership.
-
Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco five days per week.
