The Position

As the People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner & Country Connector - Spain, you will play a pivotal role in unlocking the potential of our people and driving high performance across our Commercial organization. Operating within our modern, network-based people model, you will champion an inclusive culture, influence senior leaders through strategic partnership, and connect our entire ecosystem of affiliates in Spain. This executive leadership opportunity empowers you to shape external labor relations, steer complex organizational transformations, and create lasting impact for both our colleagues and the patients we serve.

The Opportunity

• Drive strategic business partnership: Partner with senior commercial leaders as an entrepreneurial strategist to co-create forward-looking people strategies, workforce plans, and organizational designs that align directly with long-term business goals.
• Lead enterprise-wide transformations: Direct large-scale change initiatives and guide organizational evolution, building leadership coalitions to ensure resilience and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare landscape.
• Connect and unify the country ecosystem: Act as the strategic P&C connector across all Roche legal entities and affiliates in Spain, fostering cross-functional synergy, breaking down silos, and championing an inclusive, collaborative culture.
• Provide executive coaching and advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to senior executives, leveraging systems thinking, deep business acumen, and talent analytics to guide critical decisions, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Shape external and labor relations: Partner closely with People Relations to lead constructive dialogue and negotiations with Works Councils, while actively representing Roche at key industry forums to strengthen our employer brand.
• Empower through agile, informal leadership: Collaborate with and influence specialized, multidisciplinary People & Culture colleagues across our global network without relying on hierarchical lines, cultivating shared ownership and high performance.

Who You Are

• Proven strategic HR leadership: You bring extensive experience as a strategic People & Culture / HR Business Partner partnering with senior executives in complex, international matrix environments, backed by a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Organizational design and change mastery: You have a demonstrated track record of leading large-scale organizational transformations, designing future-ready operating models, and guiding teams through ambiguity with confidence and clarity.
• Impactful executive coaching and systems thinking: You excel at advising leadership teams, diagnosing complex root causes using data and business insights, and establishing robust talent and succession pipelines.
• Collaborative and labor relations expertise: You possess proven experience in labor strategy and constructive collaboration with Works Councils, alongside the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams through influence rather than formal hierarchy.
• Global mindset and bilingual communication: You are fluent in both Spanish and English (business level) with strong communication skills that enable you to build trust, foster belonging, and represent the organization externally.
